Preservation of freeze-dried peptides

All products labeled "freeze dry" must be kept under freezing conditions, preferably -20 DEG C, which can be maintained for several years if stored below -80 C.

When using frozen products, the bottle or tube should be raised to the room temperature in the dryer with fresh desiccant before opening. For products stored at -20 DEG C, this process takes an hour or more, depending on the package size. Otherwise, when the bottle is opened, water vapor condensed into the lead polypeptide and reduce its stability. Once opened, the weighing shall promptly completed, and immediately closed to avoid deliquescence, especially hydrophilic peptides should pay more attention to.

Preservation of polypeptide solution

Polypeptide solution is much less stable than dry powder, in order to get the best results, follow the following principles:

1 repeated freeze-thaw damage to the peptide activity, it is recommended to be packed into a small package to save. How much thawing is needed, and then the remainder is discarded.

2 dissolved in PH5-7 sterile buffer, stored at -20 C.

3 peptides containing Cys, Met, Tyr, Glu, and Asp are readily oxidized, and therefore must be kept in an oxidizing free environment.
